At this year's Eisenwarenmesse – International Hardware Fair in Cologne, HAILO is expanding its focus: in addition to ladders for household and DIY use, the range now also includes offers for professional users. The focus is on the new HAILO Master line of ladders for professionals that was developed specifically with trade and industry requirements in mind. The company with the red dot will also be exhibiting its proven outdoor ladder platform HAILO LP Outdoor, which has established itself as a safe solution for working on uneven ground.

An invention that shaped the industry

Both of these product solutions in the portfolio are logical developments, considering the company's history, as ladders have a special place in the HAILO story. In 1960, thirteen years after its establishment, the company reached a decisive milestone with the invention of the first aluminium household ladder. Until then, the market had been dominated by heavy, unwieldy steel constructions. Aluminium ladders made climbing easier, safer and more comfortable – and laid the foundations for the company's international success story.

In March, HAILO will be presenting its new professional line at Stand C040 in Hall 3.2 at this year's Eisenwarenmesse – International Hardware Fair in Cologne and thereby link its many years of expertise in the household sector with the technical expertise of its Professional division, which has been an infrastructure and industrial customer supplier for many years. The new product line – its construction, design and, above all, its uncompromising safety standards – also reflects this synergy.

Safe climbing for everyday use

The new ladder line offers robust, durable and well-designed solutions for everyday trade and industry use – even in demanding conditions. Whether in workshops, on construction sites or in the facility management area: HAILO Master stands for outstanding stability, ergonomic details and excellent workmanship. The line was developed on the basis of insights gained from practical use and in dialogue with professional users. The result: climbing equipment that professionals can rely on in any situation.

Ladder designs for different areas of use

The new professional line consists of various ladder ranges that set the highest standards in terms of load-bearing capacity, workmanship and convenience. A key product is the new platform ladder P80, which scores with a particularly large, non-slip base. It was designed especially for working at height for longer periods and offers enhanced ergonomics and safety thanks to handrails on both sides, an integrated storage tray and a spacious platform – a piece of truly professional equipment designed for professionals. For those who need something a little more compact, the double-sided folding step D80 is the ideal solution: it combines a low weight with a high degree of stability. The space-saving design and the sophisticated folding mechanism make it the perfect choice for mobile use – whether in the workshop, in the warehouse or on construction sites.

The HAILO Master portfolio also includes another true classic: the double-sided wooden ladder Master H80. Its steps are eight centimetres wide and therefore offer a definite advantage for safe climbing and ergonomic working on the ladder, which can be accessed from both sides. It is made from impregnated European pine wood and is therefore durable and robust. The removable tool bag for brushes, trowels and so on is especially practical.

Another new addition to the range is the leaning ladder A60, whose slim, lightweight design makes it ideal for quick access in confined spaces or when working on machines and shelves. What makes it special is that it has wide steps instead of rungs, which offers a significant advantage in terms of safety and convenience. It is as robust as it is reliable – and therefore ideal for frequent changes of location and a wide range of uses in everyday work situations.

The initial range is rounded off with the double-sided ladder D100, a model for anyone who needs a reliable climbing solution on a daily basis. The HAILO Master D100 was recently awarded the prestigious PLUS X AWARD 2026 for its outstanding quality. The jury praised the ladder in the categories of High Quality, Ease of use, Functionality and Ergonomics, highlighting its consistent focus on professional requirements: high-quality aluminium components, a robust construction and wide, non-slip steps ensure maximum stability and a secure footing in daily use. According to the jury's statement, the model combines ‘maximum safety with high ease of use and practical functionality’ and is ‘a ladder that meets professional requirements in every respect’. This award underlines HAILO's commitment to combining safety, comfort and performance in a consistent quality concept.

HAILO LP Outdoor for safe working on uneven ground

Flexible ladder platform for outdoor use

Trimming hedges or pruning trees, giving the exterior of a house a facelift or painting a privacy fence – a lot of outdoor work potentially involves uneven or sloping ground. These uneven areas must be compensated for in order to minimise the risk and ensure stability when working on ladders. A simple compensation solution such as HAILO's idea makes this easy: with the HAILO LP Outdoor, the ladder and climbing system experts have developed a ladder platform that can be adjusted to uneven ground in outdoor areas – individually to the respective site conditions.

Adjustable outdoor feet ensure stability

The HAILO LP Outdoor features height-adjustable feet equipped with quick release locks that can be adjusted individually to the ground and make it possible to even out significant slopes of up to 46 percent. The four outdoor feet are also equipped with additional ground spikes that provide a secure footing even on soft ground. The podium is made of non-slip phenolic plywood and can therefore be used as a safe work platform.

When the respective job calls for a greater height, HAILO LP Outdoor serves as a stable podium for all HAILO folding steps and step ladders with up to five steps.

Flexible, stable and versatile

Additional safety features make HAILO LP Outdoor the perfect choice for anyone who also works at height outdoors: an integrated spirit level ensures that the platform is level and a removable handrail ensures safe ascent; the option of attaching it to steps and step ladders ensures optimum stability. Two carry handles integrated into the work surface make the platform easy to transport and stow away. LP Outdoor also comes with two separate castors to move it from A to B with minimal effort. They are quick to fit when required and make transporting the platform considerably easier.
