The bridging step is used to bridge and protect the parapet and any facing without slip resistance.
The length of the bridging step is variable, the passage width must be at least 500 mm.
In accordance with DIN 18799-3, fixed ladders with a fall height of 3m or more require a fall arrest system at the exit point so that the user is never unsecured.
This is ensured with a guardrail of 1,500 mm on both sides or the parapet step-over unit with a depth of 2,500 mm.
