Are men really more willing to take risks - or are women simply more sensible?

HAILO survey on staircase ladders shows clear differences between men and women.

What doesn't fit is made to fit! Whether it is still safe is a completely different question. A recent survey shows that around one in three Germans has tried to reach a high position in the staircase, but did not have the right ladder for the job. It was noticed that women admitted it significantly more often than men. Does this mean that men simply don't see the problem because they already have an improvised solution at hand? Does this mean that women are more security-conscious or even more sensible? As it is, HAILO has the comfortable and safe solution for all supposed improvisation artists, as well as their worried relatives: the innovative stair landing TP1.

Problem zone staircase

Hundreds of pictures of daring constructions are circulating on the web, most of them men putting themselves in danger. Often commented on with phrases like, "This is why women live longer." But also everyone who has ever tried to change a light bulb in the staircase knows the problem: normal ladders do not work here. The latest representative online survey* commissioned by HAILO shows that around a third of Germans are aware of this situation. The survey also revealed that around 35 percent of the women stated that they did not have a suitable ladder for their staircase, but only around 27 percent of the men. It can only be hoped that not too many of those questioned dare to use shaky, provisional constructions, as the pictures on the net suggest.

The solution: HAILO stair landing TP1

Since the market launch of the HAILO TP1 stair landing at the latest, no one has had to resort to dangerous temporary solutions. The patent-pending2 world innovation TP1, which has won several awards, such as the iF Design Award, is comfortable and safe to use, and of the highest quality. The aluminium frame system, which can bear loads of up to 150 kilograms, forms a stable base on steps for all stepladders and stepladders up to and including four steps. Rails that can be telescoped in length and height using quick-release fasteners allow flexible adjustment, even on spiral staircases and uneven outdoor floors. The stair landing is available individually or in the popular double pack with the HAILO L80 ComfortLine ladder and can be folded up for space-saving storage. The TP1 is available in the HAILO online shop for €144.99 (RRP).
