Which HAILO ladder for which purpose?

Firstly, you’ll need a suitable aluminium ladder to be able to work in your stairwell. Avoid single-rung or telescopic ladders! These are not suitable choices for a staircase ladder. Single ladders do not provide sufficient stability in this situation due to the missing support, so you should reach for something more suitable with better grip. A practical solution for working in stairwells is the cleverly designed and flexibly adaptable HAILO Stair platform. You can use this in conjunction with all HAILO standing and stepladders. Find out which of these models is most useful for your purposes as a staircase ladder below.

A real star in any staircase: The HAILO Stairs platform

The HAILO TP1 Stairs platform is a working platform that can be used to overcome uneven surfaces on stairs. It can be used either as a pure platform, which provides a level surface despite a landing or as the base for one of the HAILO standing or stepladders. The built-in spirit level ensures that the worktop is always perfectly horizontal. This allows you to carry out all work in the staircase without endangering your safety. The non-slip surface of the platform also gives you secure footing when cleaning windows and does not let you lose your balance if any water spills. The rails, which can be telescoped in length and height using a quick-release fastener, also allow the stair platform to flexibly adapt to the respective staircase. The HAILO TP1, therefore, gives you a secure hold when working on the stairs, unlike single ladders or telescopic ladders.

Small but powerful: HAILO stepladders at a glance

HAILO offers various steel or aluminium stepladders in its range, which can be used as stair ladders in conjunction with the platform. If you prefer a ladder with a handhold, you can choose between the HAILO K100 TopLine comfort stepladder and the HAILO K70 StandardLine stepladder. The former is equipped with a small multi-function storage tray, providing additional space for tools and other miscellaneous items. Thanks to its extra-wide steps and extremely stable construction, you can safely stand, even at a working height of 2.65 m.

The K100 TopLine comfort stepladder offers a highly curved aluminium safety bar to hold on to, a practical storage tray and feet with soft-grip soles for optimum stability and slip-resistance on a wide variety of floors. With the three-stage version, working heights of up to 2.74 m can be reached. The HAILO K70 StandardLine aluminium stepladder is a simpler model with up to three steps and a maximum working height of 2.7 m . It’s equipped with very large, non-slip steps and is also compatible with the stair platform. HAILO also offers other ladders from the stepladder range which may be of interest to you!

Destined for great things: HAILO stepladders at a glance

Stepladders, in combination with the TP1, can also be suitable options. They provide much more stability than a single ladder with rungs, which lacks support. A stair ladder must be stable and provide safe footing. You can easily combine HAILO's standing ladders with the HAILO Stair platform and use them as stair ladders. All models with up to four steps can be used for this.

The HAILO L100 TopLine stepladder and the HAILO L80 ComfortLine in aluminium with their extra-wide, non-slip treads are better alternatives to a rung ladder. With four steps, both products offer a working height of 2.85 m. With a storage tray and bucket loop, you have enough space to store all the utensils you need whilst up on the ladder. No matter which of our stepladders you prefer in combination with the TP1 as a stair ladder - you can start working on the stairs almost immediately!

Strikingly independent: HAILO multi-function and combination ladders at a glance

Our HAILO M80 multi-function ladder and our S100 ProfiLOT combination ladder are also suitable staircase ladders. And the best thing about them? You can use them independently of the TP1 Stairs platform! These two all-rounders are versatile, and stairs are no obstacle for them.

The HAILO M80 can be used either as a lean-to and extension ladder or as a double-sided standing and staircase ladder. It is available in 4x3, 4x4 and 4x6 rungs and has a maximum stair adjustment of 1.25 m in the longest version. This practical ladder is easily height-adjustable thanks to the lateral locking handles on the different levels. Its flexibility, variability and safety make it ideal for working on stairs, but also for other activities.

The S100 ProfiLOT is also a ladder with a wide range of applications. It can be used as a lean-to, extension or fixed ladder and is available with three different rung options, with the highest being 3x12 rungs. Additionally, the two smaller versions with 2x6+1x5 and 2x9+1x8 have a maximum stair adjustment of 54 cm and are suitable for working on stairs. A further special feature is the LOT system, which compensates for unevenness of the floor up to 15 cm and can be easily adjusted with a pedal.
